To be a holy woman was written as someone who sacrificed herself to tend to other people’s needs. A martyr who gave up her own dreams, expression and desires in the name of other people’s well-being.

She was morphed into the caretaker who placed everyone before herself. Women who lived for other people and didn’t have needs of their own were given awards and received public celebration to imprint into other women “how it should be done”.
