The Holy Oil of Spikenard

Spikenard is an incredible powerful oil, with strong ties to Mary Magdalene and the Myrrhophores. My personal experience with Spikenard is so profound. This oil initiated me deeper into the Magdalene path, and awakened so much in me.

Sacred oils are part of a mysterious and ancient tradition that goes back many thousands of years. This isn’t just about a lovely aroma, the oils work deeply on a cellular level to heal and make whole.

Ancient Egypt is one of the civilizations most closely associated with the use of essential oils. The Ancient Egyptians believed there was a strong link between scent and healing. They also knew that the inhalation and absorption of oils would stimulate the pineal gland and increase the energetic frequency.

Essential oils are advanced energy medicine, and the Ancient Temple Priestesses were deeply attuned to them. This is the reason why so many Priestesses today experience a deep remembering and awakening by working with oils.

They already know them….

Mary Magdalene was a Myrrhophore. She’s known for always having Spikenard with her, and for anointing Jesus with it.

Anointing isn’t just putting oil on the body. It’s a ritualised blessing that re-align and re-balances the receiver. It’s a powerful method of healing. It’s atunement and frequency shift.

“Then Mary took pound of ointment of Spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus. John. 12:3

MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH THE OILS— AND SPIKENARD

When I first started working with essential oils, it felt like something I’d always known.

It activated me and stirred memories from ancient times.

I began walking this path that felt like home, and it opened up so many doors!

The oils initiated me deeper into the mysteries.

It first began with Frankincense. Then Jasmine and Myrrh. Rose and Spikenard. Many more.

I began incorporating them into my work as a healer, and I used the oils in a way that just flowed naturally to me. I hadn't learned it anywhere, it simply felt like a wisdom I carried within me.

When I first came across information about The Myrrhophores, I knew that I was one of them. I realised that the way I worked with the oils was the ways of the Myrrhophores; Ancient Priestesses using sacred oils for healing, in rituals and ceremonies, and in support of support their everyday living.

My journey with Spikenard was very unique.

When I was first introduced to the oil, I wasn’t ready for its medicine, and I put it away. I told myself I didn’t like the aroma, and that I just didn’t like the oil.

Now I know that I simply wasn’t ready.

This is the thing with sacred oils: If you’re not ready, or its not the right time, the oil will work with you at a basic level until you prove your commitment and open up to receive its medicine.

About two years after first being introduced to Spikenard, and not wanting anything to do with it, I was open to begin working with it.

Spikenard became one of the most important oils for me.

It opened up entirely new worlds. It also powerfully strengthened and deepened my connection to Yeshua and Mary Magdalene, and my mission here on Earth.

It activated, initiated and opened me up to what I was here to do. It made it easier for me to tap into information from higher dimensions.

So much became available…..

When I was called to embark on a Magdalene Pilgrimage to France in 2022, I was guided to work with Spikenard as preparation for the trip.

While in France I connected deeper with The Cathars, with whom I felt so drawn to. They are well known for carrying forth the teachings of Yeshua and Mary Magdalene.

Spikenard was used in their rituals and ceremonies to open to receive the Light of the Holy Spirit. One particular ritual was called The Consulamentum.

THE HEALING GIFTS OF SPIKENARD

“Some say that Spikenard enables the body to open up to the Holy Spirit. Certainly this was the view of the Cathars (…) The Cathars were well known for both their healing abilities and their simple, pure way of living (…) Spikenard was used in the initiation and transmission process, probably as a result of anointing and by energetically opening the portal which the Holy Spirit could pass.”Felicity Warner

Spikenard holds the frequency of the Dove and the pure Christ Light. It’s an oil that supports transition, whether that is transitioning through the physical death and leaving the physical body, or the transition from one version to another.

So it’s an oil that supports the dying process, in all its many different meanings.

It supports the complete surrender into the light. In this state there is no fear of dying, and then we begin to emanate the light.

The oil lead us across sacred thresholds.

The Cathars used Spikenard as part of a ritual called The Consolamentum. This was a spiritual baptism. It was given to the sick or dying, to give them a glimpse of the incredible love that awaited beyond the threshold of death. It is said that the vision and knowledge that came with this, was such an enormous psychic event that after having experienced it, one never feared death again (Source: Sacred Oils: Working with 20 precious oils to Heal Spirit and Soul)

One rejoiced in the paradise that is love; the all is. There was nothing to fear. Nothing to lose. Noting to hold on to. Nothing to grasp for. Nothing to resist. Just letting go….. into love….be filled with the Light of the Holy Spirit; the Light of Love… and swim in the sea of Christ Consciousness.

Through this ritual people experienced a beautiful dying process, where they had fully united with the Light.

One of the most important roles of a Myrrhophore is to aid the dying process. They were death doulas who ensured that the dying would have a peaceful transition.

Mary Magdalene taught the ways of the Myrrhophores, and this included supporting the dying.

So what did she really do when she anointed the head and feet of Jesus with Spikenard at the Last Supper….?

——

In a private session with one of my clients, Spikenard came through as the oil wanting to support her. I’ve never used so much Spikenard oil ever in a session!

The oil was calling her name, and it was so beautiful to be a part of the magic that unfolded.

Throughout the session pure white light frequencies showered upon her, entering through her crown chakra. I felt deeply blessed to be part of the experience, and witnessing the power of Spikenard.

Here is a little information about the Spikenard plant:

Spikenard is a flowering plant from the same family as valerian. It grows high in the Himalayas at elevations between 3,000 and 5,000 m.

The plant grows to about 1 metre high and has small, pink, bell-shaped flowers.

The dark green essential oil comes from the plant stems that grow underground. After harvest, the stems are cleaned and then dried for several days before being distilled.

Spikenard has been valued since ancient times. It was used as a perfume, medicine, and in ceremonies. It was also an oil that was used to anoint people of high honour. Its a stable in Ayurvedic health practices.
